Hello everyone, it’s been so long since I last posted! How are you all? Today I felt like I needed a break from Uni work so I decided to paint something. A while back I did a painting of Lily Donaldson in black and white and I really liked how it turned out so I decided to paint another. Also, not sure if you’ve had a look but I’ve added a links page. Please check out the people on there, their blogs are amazing!

I love this (as with all your other stuff)!! I love the shading, and the lines, it's just perfect!

Absolutely beautiful. I love the shading and the way you've made her eyes look real. I think the eyes make or break art like this and you've nailed it. Wish I had some artisitc talent!

I love this, I've watched how your paintings/drawings have sort of grown almost since finding your blog and it's wonderful. Nice style ๐Ÿ™‚ I bought some new watercolours and as soon as they arrived I whipped them out and started painting! It's crazy how attached I get too art materials! Thanks so much for that link too for the shoes, I'm tempted to buy them… they look adorable!

You always leave the loveliest comments :'). Thank you! I can't wait to see your next posts if you've been painting! I get so attached to art materials too haha, I was actually looking at some new paint on amazon but I think I might have enough at the moment. You should definitely treat yourself to those shoes! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

This is just great! I have been looking at your first posts and don't know if you've noticed, but your posts from 2011 don't show their pictures. I would love to see what you drew then! Also, I was wondering if someday you could show how you paint using gouache? Do you sketch in pencil before filling in with the gouache? I recently started using gouache but I find myself to be very clumsy with it ๐Ÿ™ I wish I felt as confident with it as I do with a pencil. Any tips would be appreciated! Thank you, Philippa!

I will try and get that sorted asap! On this painting I didn't do a pencil outline, but now I always do a pencil outline. My tip with using gouache paint would be to draw everything first, erase it (with a kneaded eraser preferably) but do it so you can see the faintest of an outline. Also try and cover areas in one go, rather than going over the same area over and over. I hope this has helped you a little! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx
