Beer bottles

Materials
Watercolour and a bit of white acrylic for the highlights

A while ago I did a beer illustration for my dad and he really liked how the painting turned out. (You can view that post here). This unexpectedly led to a request to add more to this little collection. Occasionally new challenges can be rewarding, it can be fun trying your hand at something different. Being told an idea is also particularly useful when you feel as though you’re going through a bit of a creative block – which happens to everyone from time to time.

After reading countless textbooks and journal papers it was so nice to sit down, listen to some music and do something I’ve inadvertently neglected for a few months. This year I’ve realised that it’s so important to find time around your schedule to do the things that you really enjoy. You can do anything you want to, it’s all about prioritising. So, make sure you treat yourself once in a while!

Oh these are awesome! I love how much attention to detail in these paintings. It's such a super cute take on the beer bottle you never really see.

Wow! These are really incredible. The condensation gathering around the neck of the green bottles in particular is very impressive. Although we have very different styles I'm glad to see that art provides you with the same refuge as it does me. I've just finished a history degree and am loving the luxury of setting aside all the essays and journal articles in favour of something more fun and relaxing.

Thank you so much! it's so great knowing that someone else uses art as a refuge as well. And I definitely agree that it's a nice feeling to finally have the time to do things like this! See you around!
