A few days ago I created this plant illustration after having read an Andy Warhol quote that really seemed to resonate with me. It went like this, “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
The more I read it, the more I began to embrace it. I think sometimes it can be difficult creating new work because you worry too much about it being perfect and whether or not people will like it.
And if you think about it too much, you end up getting nowhere. And this isn’t just limited to art work, but blog posts too! It made
me remember why I started my blog, my primary goal was never to impress anybody, but simply to have a place I could see all of my work together as a journal. With that in mind, here are some tropical plants I painted whilst experimenting with a few different techniques to see what would happen.

I love that quote, thanks for sharing! I think it's something that tends to happen to me often, too. I always get so worked up on always pumping out new content that I eventually start losing my love for it. It's always a cycle of ups and downs when it comes to any kind of art that I share online.

Oh, I can relate to this way too much! I'm pretty sure it's the reason I always have blogger's block, but it's so hard to overcome especially when you're a perfectionist. I love your paintings by the way, keep up the good work 🙂

I love these tropical illustrations, they're gorgeous! I completely relate to the Andy Warhol quote too – it's definitely going to be my quote for the day now.
